The other day, Lisa told me: “One lifetime with you isn’t enough.” 🥰 That might be the most loving thing anyone has told me! I share that, not only to celebrate our love and partnership, but also because I think it points to a life truth: YOU are an endlessly knowable, magical, miracle of amazingness. Words, titles, societal pressures, labels, successes, failures, traumas, and even your name ALL fall short of capturing the spark of heaven that is you, and everyone else!

“Unwrapping” the peaceful, joyous, wise, and loving “You”, which is beyond stories and words, is a big part of why we’re here … at least that’s what I’m increasingly discovering. You see, when we engage in practices that quiet our minds, like yoga, being in nature, meditation, contemplation, worship, running, etc., we discover the bliss of heaven isn’t so much out “there”, as it is within us!

Parker Palmer says, “Before I can tell my life what I want to do with it, I must listen to my life telling me who I am.” If I’m honest, some of my greatest struggles and hardships in life have come when I didn’t take time to get silent and listen. Likewise, MUCH goodness has followed taking time to let go of my plans, worries, and other thought bubbles. In a real way: The more peaceful our minds become, the more of both heaven and our True Selves we encounter. Here’s to unwrapping the gift of you!

Hugs & Love,

Lang
