You are a mysterious, magical miracle. True story. The matter in your body is literally billions of years old, as all the hydrogen is from the Big Bang 13.8 billion years ago, while the other atoms were forged in stars some 7-12 billion years ago. Yet, we’re also super young, in that best as I can find, 98% of the atoms in our bodies are replaced every year. What is more, the intelligence of your being, the interconnections and processing at a cellular level, is more complex and powerful than ALL the super computers in the world combined. We each can Truthfully say we’re as wise as stars, as youthful as babies, and more brilliant than the computers we use to design spaceships!
Not only is each of us made of trillions of cells working together to breathe, move, eat, and play, we’re also the host to trillions of bacteria cells in our guts, which play an ESSENTIAL role in our health and wellbeing. Talk about diversity, community, and unity, each of us is a magnificent example of these ideals in the flesh!
As if our bodies weren’t magical enough, when it comes to consciousness we get even more mysterious. No one knows where it “resides”, and brain dead people have not only come back to life, but while their mind wasn’t functioning they had experiences they remember. Our heart and gut both have brains, and the former literally projects the vibes of our thoughts up to 20 feet beyond our skin via an electromagnetic field. We don’t end at our skin. With all this in mind, today I invite us to practice remembering and celebrating what a mysterious, magical miracle it is to be alive, as the more we bring this Truth to mind, the more Spirit felt and glorious our lives become.
