I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the power of our perspectives. Specifically, I wonder if a good chunk of our troubles, sorrows, and frustrations in life, especially when it comes to relationships, stems MORE from our OWN perspectives than the actions or inactions of others? I think on how much happier and more at peace I am when I start with the Truth that EVERYONE is DOING THE BEST THEY CAN. When I do this, my frustrations, angers, and such decrease tenfold. PLUS, her or him and I are then WAY more likely to amicably make any adjustments the situation may call for.

Your perspective is crucial in other regards as well. Just think about life. Isn’t it AMAZING?! What an incredible MIRACLE it is to be alive. Each breath is a gift. Every sunset is magic. The patter of the rain is music. The patterns of the clouds is art. Your job is a blessing. Living free from the direct burdens of war is freedom. The list goes on and on and on. There is SO MUCH to be thankful for in life. Or think about your body and yourself. Do you and I have a positive perception of ourselves? For instance, I’ve gained some weight recently, #wine, but I ALSO feel fantastic and strong. Which perspective do I lean into more? Isn’t it incredible we can walk, dance, talk, play, laugh, eat, drink, LOVE, and so much more? Our bodies are works of ART. We are BELOVED children of a Loving Source.

With all this and more in mind, today I invite you to consider your perspectives in relationships, life, toward yourself, and beyond. Ponder where some changes or tweaks would bring more Light and Love, and start one today.
