One of the interesting side effects from my accident and visual disability is that before I plummeted off a cliff, I NEVER had to think about where the car was parked, worry about getting lost on a run in an unfamiliar locale, or fret about navigating a theme park. My body just knew where to go. After the fall, though, not so much! I have to rely on others or pay SUPER close attention to markers and distances. I bring this up because it seems to me there’s a kinship between a sense of direction in space and a sense of direction in life: Direction is more of an intuited feeling than a logical conclusion.

Our bodies are brilliant and wise, and often operate in a way that transcends words and linear thinking. I consistently experience so many revelations by tuning into my body’s messages, I believe it’s the clearest way we hear Spirit speak to us. When I knew 2 years ago that it was time for a career shift of sorts, for instance, it was my body, NOT my brain that “knew” first. And several months later when I realized life-coaching was the next step, it was the same.

Living into purpose and fullness, when looked at in retrospect logically makes sense, yet, in my experience, it’s not discovered logically, but bodily. It’s a sense of peace, clarity, wholeness, wellbeing, and flow. As much as I’ve gone astray in life, I can’t recall a time when following these feelings/energies let me down. What’s your journey been like?
